Duplicating a guide
Reuse a guide you already built as the starting point for the next one.
If your next guide is mostly like one you already built (a second flat in the same building, another branch of the same shop) duplicate it instead of starting from an empty guide.
How to duplicate
- 1On the guides list, tap Duplicate on the card of the guide you want to copy. (The same button sits in the guide itself, next to delete.)
- 2We ask "Duplicate this guide?" first: tap Yes, duplicate, or Cancel if you tapped it by mistake.
- 3The copy appears on your list as a new draft, named after the original with "(copy)" added. If the guide was translated, every translated name gets the same marker in its own language, so the copy is easy to tell from the original in each language it is read in.
💡Nothing happens to the original. It stays live, keeps its own link, and visitors who already have that link are unaffected.
Good to know
The copy arrives as a draft, not live, so you can rename it, swap the photos that differ and fix the address before anyone can open it. It gets a fresh link of its own; the original's link never points at the copy. The copy is written in the same language as the original: its base language, and any languages you translated it into, come across with it.
If you are already at your plan's limit of live guides, the copy is still created. It just waits as a locked draft until you turn another guide off or upgrade.
Duplicate is offered on a live guide that is not a directory. For a guide you no longer want, see deleting a guide.
