A parking pin you can't find in the editor

Old guides can carry a "P" nobody can edit. Here is where to remove it.

Parking used to be its own step in the editor, where you drew "P" pins on a map. That step is gone: a parking spot is now a starting point, added from the address map, and it is edited from its row in the list there.

A guide built before that change can still carry a pin from the old step: one that nobody named, so visitors see it as plain Parking, and that had no row anywhere to remove it from. Pins drawn on an uploaded parking photo rather than on the map are listed there too; removing one leaves the photo itself in place.

Removing one

  1. 1Open the guide and go to the address map (Location → expand the map).
  2. 2Under the list of starting points you will see any leftover pins, marked as old.
  3. 3Tap the ✕ beside one and confirm. Visitors stop seeing it right away.

💡Removing the last thing on the parking map also switches the parking map off, so the guide stops offering an empty one. Adding a parking starting point brings it back.

Good to know

A leftover pin is also counted when spots are numbered, which is why a spot you add while one is still there can come out as "P2". Remove the old pin and the numbering settles.
